Girls Night Out hosted by Team J.U.G.S.

Ann Seeger and her Team J.U.G.S.  hosted a wonderful wine tasting event this evening for well over 100 women and raised money for breast cancer research.  The setting, a large open area in the woods next to the river was beautiful, and even more so, was the evening was dedicated to honoring and supporting women.   How truly wonderful and moving  it is to see women supporting other women.

Thank you Ann for inviting me to share about the meaning of the  Gaman Wristbands this evening, and also for your donation for 100 Gaman wristbands which were included in the gift bags the guest took home.   I enjoyed meeting and talking with so many remarkable women.

We will be posting “wave” photos from this evening as soon as we receive them!!

Culver’s Operation Thank You

During dinner Thursday  at Culver’s in Mason, we met with  Carol Alexander, founder of Operation Thank You, a volunteer organization which sends cards and care packages to U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.   Miya sent a care package to Afghanistan and included a  Gaman Wristband with it.  We hope to get a picture from the recipient wearing the wristband!

Miya has a “wave”  photo for Japan with Carol Alexander and two men from the military.

Elizabethtown First Church of God in Franklin, OH

What a warm welcome by everyone!   We were thrilled to meet all the children and the members of the congregation.  Thank you Diana Colton for inviting us to share about Japan.   You all have a special place in our hearts.    We raised over $216.50 Sunday night for Japan.

Cincinnati Zumbathon Charity for Japan

Thank you so much Junko Murako for inviting me to join the Japan Table for this event at the Duke Energy Center!   I met so many wonderful women united to make a difference in Japan.   The Japan table had lots of homemade goodies, crafts and T-shirts and the Gaman Wristbands.   I was able to get some bookmarks made special with the Japanese characters for Gaman.   Thank you Miho!

The event was a wonderful success.  Around 400 women came to support Japan and dance, dance, dance.  The Cincinnati Zumbathon Charity for Japan event  raised an impressive $10,930.50 that will go to the Matthew 25 ministries for Japan.  I am just honored to have been part of this event.
